Hybridization of our learning process

In the learning process the amount of time we can keep attending to a thought is critical. It seems that today we are able to keep our attention span for a shorter period of time and this is posing very interesting questions. In the NY Times there is an article today http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/01/books/01book.html?_r=1&th&emc=th
that talks about the hybridization of books. I think it is important to realize that hybridization is natural and will continue to be happening in our daily lives.
